Hi Murray; |
I bought a bunch of 2000s when they first came out, and I have not changed my opinion of the brush, I adore everything about it (except, as it turns out, the finish, but I don't care so much about the cracks around the ring, I can refinish if it I did, and I won't)
I don't read forums much, so I would assume that people who don't like it for face lathering might think it's too large; people felt that way about the Omega Pros as well; to each his own.
I know that a lot of that product line has changed / been modified; I don't know that the 2000 is the same brush, it does look the same. Michael Ham did not like it too much, and I could not understand that; I was supposed to send him my old, used one, for him to test; extreme forgetfulness has kept me from the post office, but I plan to remedy that.
I don't like any of the SOC brushes I have bought; they're not bad brushes, but they pale to the 1305 and 2000 by such a margin that I can't help but think badly about them.
Favorite brush? Still 31064; I love the 48/49 and what they offer; I love the Vulfix line and their old school, sparse bristle that eats no lather; I don't like Jagger or Muhle boar, they are not good brushes. I'm not a fan of any of the mixed grade badger/boar on the market that I've tried.
Murray please do speak for me any time!
