Face lathering is boring compared to preparing your own lather. KIN SC68 Pro boar brush Tabac soap Red tip Super Speed Crystal blade Vintage Old Spice a/s The KIN pro boar is a rather large brush. Since I don't have any of the other large boar brushes (Omega 48/49, Semogue 2000), I'm not sure how it compares. I will say it makes a lot of lather for a boar brush. I've had the brush for well over a year, and it's really not broken in yet - I just haven't used it enough. Geotge Wostenholm & Sons Celebrated XL '73 Superspeed Edwin Jagger BBB Coates Sandalwood sc Thayers Original WH w/ aloe Three Crowns as milk SCS Sandalwood Edt Thanks to the generosity of a friend over at SRP, I borrowed a Wostenholm to experience Sheffield steel for the first time. Using the Coates with the straight I was able to get wonderful WTG and XTG passes which I followed up with a touch up with my superspeed. The razor glided over my face and it was very easy to handle. Office shave again; damn early summer train when I don't drop off Emmy to school and don't get out of bed at 6:15 sharp. The thing with railroads in small towns is that if you miss the train, you go home, you wait 45 minutes for the next one, then head out again. They arrive at an exact time, unlike the subway for example. So the other week while I was pulling out ample paper towels from the dispenser with which to dry the floor in front of the mirror in the office bathroom lest someone fall and slip there, and thought this "very wet" shaving thing doesn't work for me here. I decided that I would try the can instead of the brush / soap stick thing. So I went to Duane Reade on 6th and 44/45th, in advance mind you because I can't predict when I'll be dragging it, and I got a travel size can of the Gillette gel; I figured the time with the hot and the cold water and the lathering 2 passes had to be avoided and that the soap was the culprit. And then I saw a 3 pack of Gillette Sensor3 Disposable Razors; I figured screw it, give it a try. Really I think I just wanted to buy stuff at this point. So today's SOTD: Gillette sensitive skin gel (it's what they had in the travel size) Gillette Sensor3 Disposable Razor Naturally, I got a DFS in less time and I made very little mess. You know that Sensor3 is wickedly sharp. The Gillette Gel was not so great though. Will look for the Noxzema gel next time, travel size or not. Not an everyday thing but for now, when I miss out on the opportunity to have a good shave at home, that's it, I've missed out! And I will compensate at the office with a shave that makes me look very good, quickly. Good day, men!

Merkur Red Handle Barber Pole w/ 7 O'Clock Yellow (3) Simpson Colonel Best Badger Brush Erasmic S/C Shavex Alum Block Aqua Velva Ice Blue A/S Phase 1 of the quest is complete- the AV bottle is empty. The Erasmic tube probably has two more days in it, so success is close at hand. The Barber Pole is giving really good shaves with the Gillette blades. Wee Scot brush Tom's of Maine shave cream Gillette '70s style Super Speed T-2 Gillette 7 o'clock SharpEdge yellow blade (3) Burt's Bee's bay rum aftershave & cologne Better shave with the SuperSpeed than I've been getting, at least insofar as no irritation or blood. For some reason I don't seem to look as cleanshaven as with razors I prefer. At least the alum block wasn't called for. The Burt's Bee's bay rum aftershave is very nice and gives just enough sting to give some feedback, which I like. The cologne rated me a 'you smell nice' from a woman in the office who got a hug in greeting since I haven't seen her for some time. After she said it she became very flustered.

Hi Kaveh - Why do you want a large brush for lathering in a bowl? I lather in a bowl, but I like a small brush.
