Semogue limited edition horn handle brush Tabac soap Blue tip Super Speed Wilkinson Sword blade Aqua Velva musk aftershave The Semogue horn handle brush arrived Monday. It is absolutely stunning. The pre and post bloom pictures I took do not do the brush justice, so I will not post them. For those who have seen the brushes on the other forums - I received brush #15 - a mixture of light and dark brown with black streaks. Absolutely stunning. The handle weighs more than I had expected. The hair is more brown than gray, giving the brush a very warm appearance. The knot is about as dense as my Shavemac 177, but the loft is fairly long at 57mm, giving it quite a bit of bloom. Over the past couple days I've test lathered with both creams and soaps, in a bowl and directly on my face. The longer loft and bulb shape knot suggest a cream brush. But it works equally well with soaps and creams. The brush wants more water and product than my shorter-lofted brushes. The tips are quite soft, but the decent knot density provides ample backbone. The quality of this brush is at least as good as my Shavemac, Omegas, and (former) Rooney. Thanks to Leon and Rich who made this brush happen. --Previous Message-- : Tuesday Night: : : Gillette Tech razor (gold, thick handle) : Treet Dura Sharp "Classic" blade : (carbon steel with PFTE coating) : : Omega 63171 Pure Badger brush : Cella soft shaving soap : : Thayer's Peach Witch Hazel (Astringent: 10% : alcohol, no -parabens, no burn) : : - Murray :
