Hose hair brush Nr. 7
Williams mug soap laced with KMF unscented
Lord Smart Razor S.625
Polsilver, 3rd shave
Thayers Lemon
Nivea Sensitive ASB
This is a plastic handled version of the famous Turkish horse hair brush Nr. 6. The knot is a bit smaller, about 22mm vs. 24 mm.
The wood handled Nr. 6 brush I have is a lower quality sample. The hairs curve mostly in one direction, hairs are unevenly trimmed, and excess resin in the knot base extends too far above the handle opening. There is also a gap between the ferrule and the handle opening which could allow water to seep into bare wood. That was closed with a urethane mix.
The jury has been out on the Nr. 6 brush for a few months now, but the Nr. 7 brush, with good fit to handle and properly trimmed hairs, shows faster and better lathering capabilities, the kind that have likely caused people to wax on about the Nr. 6 brush.
