Floral Creams and Soaps and Irritation

I love floral creams - lavender, rose. But no matter which brand I try (Creighton brands, Salter, AoS lavender), I end up with a post-shave burning sensation. Sometimes I'll get redness. I've found Salter rose to be the least irritating, but I still get a burn even with a small amount on my brush. I'm guessing it's the EOs or FOs. As much as I love floral fragrances, I think I'm done shaving with floral creams.

But what about floral soaps? I'm wondering - do floral soaps use the same oils as creams? Or are the oils of a different nature?
