Decided to compare two of my Super Speeds: my 1949/50 vs. my early 60s flare tip. Both with a Crystal blade with a few shaves on them. Not much difference between the two razors in terms of smoothness and closeness of shave. Slightly different weight distribution (very minor) and tactile feel of the handles. I think I prefer the earlier model, but I'd have a difficult time telling them apart in terms of shave.
