Very nice find, Andy!
I especially like it when these old razors still have their case. The icing on the cake is that you like its shave.
I have a couple of these 1940s style Super Speeds, one undated like yours and one from 1954, but I have been so Tech-centric that I have never actually tried them out. (Neither of mine has its original case.

: This Super Speed was all gunked up, but the
: mechanism worked. It came complete with
: blue blade still inside (how nice). Listed
: as a Schick razor for $15. Figured why not.
: Couldn't see a date code at the store, and
: still can't find one. The notched bar, no
: date code, and red case suggest a 49 or 50
: model, I believe.
:
: It cleaned up extremely well, with just the
: slightest plating loss on the top of the
: head. Shaves as well as any razor I own.
