Blade Sampler #34: Silver Star

For me, this was the low end of the Egyptian blades. I never quite got a BBS shave with this one. It was pretty much irritation free throughout the range of setting on my razor, and at the best, pretty darn good. But it always left just a little behind.

At the higher settings, 4.0 - 4.5, the edge could definitely be felt. I was pretty cautious and got a few weepers.

At the lower end, I really had to work to get decent shave, which can leave irritation and even nicks. Fortunately, no nicks this time and the irritation was very low, almost zero.

This is still a top teir blade, just not the toppiest.

Sharpness: 8.9/10
Smoothness: 9.0/10
Overall: 9.0/10
