Despite the fact that the Semogue brushes are beefy, I'll probably end up getting both the 2000 and the 1305. They're incredible bargains, and my father-in-law and brother-in-law shave with brushes, so I can give them away to family if I don't enjoy them. I'll also look forward to the Omega brushes you've mentioned. My fathr-in-law snagged my 31064 on our last visit to his house, so I'd like another Omega with the quality of the 31xxx series.

: I bought one of these brushes last year that
: were made a long time ago by Omega, so long
: ago that Giovanni never had them in his
: catalog nor did they appear on the Omega web
: site. Since there was no number distinction,
: I dubbed it the 'Capodimonte' because to me
: it was 'old world ugly' kind of like Italian
: Provincial furniture in the 60s and 70s,
: like in 'Moonstruck'
: It has a head like the 31xxx family and a
: hefty handle, a very nice brush. Please
: forgive my name dropping from my past posts
: like I'm a brush celebrity or something; not
: what I intended!
