Yes, mine are somewhat different as well, like someone with a lather and a template made them by hand! But though the handle is smaller in height, it is not in width, and since the 'business end' of the 48/49 is the base up till the ridge, it really is about the same as the business end of the 2000, which has less handle up to the top. And it's bigger than the 1305, yes?
Great discussion here.

: Thanks, Zach!
:
: I've been breaking in the Semogue 1305 and
: haven't gotten to the 2000 yet. I had been
: wondering how the 2000 would compare with my
: Omega 48.
:
: Regarding GA Russell's question about handle
: size: I have two 2000s, and the handles are
: a little different from each other,
: suggesting that they are truly handmade. If
: you are comparing the handle size to that of
: the Omega 48 or 49, then it is smaller. If
: you compare it to most resin handles, it is
: at least a medium-sized handle. Its shape
: and added heft contribute to its comfort in
: the hand. It may be smaller than what you
: are used to, and it may not be right for
: you, but I personally wouldn't call it
: small.

: I really wanted to post this review HERE but
: apparently there is a 2000 word limit?
: I didn't know I spent that much time
: opining!
:
: I have posted it here, if you are
: interested.

: Sorry, men.
