Andy, the Semogue is not for everyone; it's more of a brute force approach to make a lathering tool with wonderful old world craftsmanship. If you don't like taking a brute like this to your face, if you want finesse or luxury or ivory, this is not for you. It's better than the 48/49 in some ways but not as good in others; it's a mixed bag if great, great brushes; there are no losers.

GA, I will order this now. You're right.

Paul, yes, you deserve this brush!
