Your not alone, about a year ago I bought a gold finished MicroMatic TTO, which I think Russ calls the bullet point. This one has a straight bar and was bought in mint condition; perfect. I liked using it so much I bought several others: 2 with a plastic handle and straight bar and, 1 TTO type, open comb, with the original hang tag and case, chrome(?) and they are all superb shavers. Although until I adjusted my technique with the open comb, I peeled my face a little the first time using it. I use GEM Stainless and PAL blades. Haven't made up my mind which I prefer. I feel very fortunate to have acquired these pieces of shaving history.
