Hi Zach,
I do indeed enjoy the Cobra Classic razor. It shaves me very closely with no irritation. It is built like the proverbial tank- nice and solid.
I did try the Feather AC with the Pro blades. There was a lot of blood, but that was my learning how to use a straight. I switched to the Pro Guard blades on the AC to save my face from my inexperienced hands.

: You might have reviewed this razor before
: Russ, and if so I missed it; I assume you
: like it?
: Have you ever tried the Feather AC straight
: with the same blades? I don't like them in
: the AC; sharper than a regular Feather in a
: shavette!

: This was once my go-to razor, but I didn't
: get a very good shave tonight. It was
: rough, there was a lot of tugging, and the
: result was mediocre. The problem may well
: have been the cartridge, which had only one
: shave on it, but that shave was over a year
: ago. I may try it again some time with a
: new cartridge, but it probably won't be any
: time soon.
