Posted by Steve I just bought a new Suzuki Boulevard C50T. I really enjoy the bike, but have been having one tuff problem. The problem is that while driving the bike I smell gas fumes. This is noticed even when driving on the highway. It has been to the dealer three times without a fix. They said they checked the lines, but none were kinked. We all now agree the problem appears to be coming from around the gas cap. Just after a ride I can get off the bike and smell around the cap and there is a large gas vapor smell. They have tried a new cap with no success. Currently a second gasket has been added to the cap in hopes of getting a better seal. Still no luck. Do you have any suggestions for a fix? Is the bike supposed to vent gas vapors through some sort of filter? I am starting to think the tank lip is not to specifications and the tank may need to be replaced. Any ideas? The bike has only 1000 miles on it and therefore is under warranty. I sure would appreciate any guidance. Thanks in advance for any assistance. Steve
