1991 Kawasaki Ninja 600 engine noise??

I just bought this bike its been very well maintained but I makes a clicking noise between 3-8k. I think its the valves possibly needing an adjustment. If anyone has any idea or has had this problem any advice would be great. Its just like a clicking tapping sound.
