i have a 1985 kawasaki ninja 600, ok here goes:
bike was running poorly when i started it after it had sat in the garage for a few months, did basic repair manual "troubleshooting" (i.e. cleaned the carbs, plugs, oil change, drained the gas tank, brand new battery)
i did a compression test on all 4 cylinders in which i got readings of below 50psi on the two left cylinders, on the two right cylinders i got a reading of a little over 100psi (i believe 100psi is normal for that side)
my question is why would the 2 left cylinders not have compression while the 2 right ones do, and when i try to start the bike up it back-fires and a flame shoots out of the exhaust pipe. if anyone knows what the solution is or any ideas on what my problem is or even what caused it PLEASE!!!! e-mail me.
VERY much appriciated!!!
