These are the stock 4 carb set that came when bike was new... so far i've cleaned the tank and pet cock, new plugs after a wd-40 bath to the pistons, oil change, brake fluid change, and now I'm on the carbs... bike has low miles, but gas was left in it for 16 years... UGH!! Enough varnish and gunk to redo a kitchen table! It's been soaking for one full day, and just minutes ago the floats started to move freely. going to keep cleaning, then blow it out with air. Hopefully after i put them back in, the bike should fire up... keeping fingers crossed. Oh, I did see a set of carbs and many other parts for these on e-bay... pretty cheap, 5 to 50 bucks depending on part. One person had a complete 4 to 2 exhaust avail.

: : I've got an '81 XJ650H Maxim in the tool shed. Bought it 2 years
: ago, and haven't been able to get the title straightened out.
: Finally did! It needs tires and fork seals, the exhaust is ugly,
: and I was thinking or rejetting the carbs for K&N aftermarket air
: filters. Its not hard... the primary jets are the only ones to
: change, and as for getting it running, its basically just take 'em
: off, clean 'em up good with carb cleaner (might want to CAREFULLY
: pull the jets and needle/seat assembly) and put 'em back in.
:
: Do you know what kind of carbs they are? Mikuni or Keihin are the
: most likely....
:
: Write to me with more (or even for more) info....
