My bike is only a year old and I have gone to alot of trouble to ensure the carbs do not get gummed up. I drain my float bowls on a regular basis, but after I run about a hundred miles or so when I stop and shut it off for a little time 15 to 30 minutes I have one plug fowl out. When I start it back it misses for a few seconds, then clears up and runs fine. I have found that other people have had the same trouble.
When I go to the dealer they want to clean my carbs so they can charge me for work on a bike that is covered by warranty, and end up just draining my float bowls and telling me nothing is wrong.
It seems to run a little rich on start up all the time, it seems to me if it was a needle valve sticking it would flood out all the time.
I am a Maintenance Tech and can fix any thing. What I do not want to do is pay a dealer to do something that should have deen taken care of the first time Itook it in, or something I can fix easily myself.
I could use some advice, because I am at my witts end and tired of trying to be NICE about it when I talk to the dealer.
