hydraulic clutch

I have a 1988 1100 honda shadow with a hydraulic clutch that has to be pulled to the handle bars to inguage the transmission. The bike also chatters in high gear if throttle is twisted too fast.
Thanks for any help.
P.s. bike only has 20,000mi. on it
