I have a 2001 vstar 650. It won't start. If it does start, it'll run all day being shut off several times. But when I go out in the am, next day, it won't start. The spark plug is not sparking in the 2nd cylinder only. Spark plugs, spark wires test fine. Secondary coil's numbers weren't exact, so replaced it -and it won't start. wWere able to send 12v directly to whatever was stuck open or closed-it would start, just for a day. So, replaced cdibox- still won't start. replaced starter relay, won't start. basically what sends the signal to the cdibox is not telling it when to fire off 2nd cylinder. I asked if points on rotor need to be checked, but timing is not off when the bike does run. Any ideas before chasing every wire out? Have added a ground so far.Please help- I haven't used one whole gas tank this year!
