Hi, I bought an 86 Goldwing a month ago and am having charging problems. I thought the regular/rectifier was bad and spent $233.00 to get a new one and nothing changed. I called a Honda dealer today and he told me what the ohms readings should be on the three yellow wires coming out of the stator which the original Honda dealers manual, that I have, doesn't say anything about. All that to say, I now have to take my motor out also. I remember that part of the frame comes apart to make this job easier according to the manual. But I'll keep you posted as to what I find out. Also, if you find out any short cuts let me know. I'm busy in construction right now so won't be able to tackle the motor as much as I'd like.
: I'm trying to remove the motor from my 1986 Honda Goldwing. I have
: followed the instructions in the Clymer Manual but the motor will
: not come out of the frame. Can anyone please give me a clue as to
: how I can get the motor out?
: Thanks Mike V. Washington State
