Hi Mike,
Any good engine oil will do just watch out for the fiction modified ones. If your bike has a wet clutch, which I think it has, you will get clutch slippage.
With the oil filter, I think it is the same as my CB900F 1980, there is one bolt holding it on at the front, very easy to change.
Plenty of shop manuals on ebay, worth there weight in gold.
