There are two things to report: (1) I have removed expired messages from the board, and (2) given all paid-up members of the club 'write' access to it. The username and password will be found on p.48 of the current magazine, no. 123, and are the same as used for the online gazetteer. This means that ordinary members can use the message board to exchange news and arrange lifts to walks, etc.
Obviously, members will understand that all postings must be honest, truthful, decent, non-libellous, etc. in order to comply with the terms of the club's contract. In the highly unlikely event that there are any breaches of this guidance, I will re-restrict write access to club officers only. I reserve the right to (a) edit messages to clarify meaning, (b) correct mistakes in grammar and spelling, and (c) remove any content that criticises the club or its officers in an intemperate manner.
