Posted by pachista The number of eleventh graders that can't spell, can't form correct sentences, have very poor grammar, and apparently tiny vocabularies is much higher than I'd suspected. I have a feeling (that's right, just a feeling) that those least equipped intellectually are those most likely to reproduce without planning to do so. Fascist anti-abortionists decry Planned Parenthood, and the more well-read among their ranks point out that Margaret Sanger was a Social Darwinist, and an Eugenicist. The implications of advocating Eugenics on a "Quisling" msg board notwithstanding, I can't help but think that maybe she was on the right track. Remember, here on the quisling message board, standard formatting is not required. PS-- The instructions for the essays that I am rating tell the student to write a persuasive letter to a rich person who is about to make a very large charitable donation, telling him to whom he should donate. The test was administered, I believe, on October 2. Can you guess the most common response? --Previous Message--

Many are morons. Many more are completely lazy and uncreative. A select few actually can write at or above what their "grade level" would suggest, and can do so in a reasonably engaging fashion.
