'Liberation' for French garden gnomes?
Police in Decazeville, France, said they suspected a shadowy organization called the Garden Gnome Liberation Front was responsible for the disappearance of five gnomes. Nobody has claimed responsibility for the theft. The GGLF recently claimed responsibility for similar thefts in northeastern France and at a gnome exhibition in Paris. The GGLF has periodically stolen gnomes from gardens and left them in local forests, which they say are their natural habitat.
