He has answered that question. With the pine beetle epidemic and other economic changes, visionary, forward-thinking leadership for Quesnel is more important than ever. In 25 years, what will our kids say about our community and the actions it took to face our challenges? Will they say that we planned for economic recovery after the pine beetle, and took deliberate action? Will they say that we took care of the fundamentals through good infrastructure planning? Will they say we cared for all the people of Quesnel, and took action on community issues? Will they say we embarked on real environmental leadership? Over the past two terms as your mayor, I’ve provided leadership where it counts on all of those questions. I’ve worked closely with council to empower their individual contributions, and I’m proud of what we have accomplished together, along with all the citizens of Quesnel If re-elected, I will continue to work on serious issues and obtain serious results. All I can judge is the number of things that Mary has voted against then eventually (after holding up progress on items) voted for. Decisive is not Mary. Collaborative is not Mary. Words mean nothing and Mary has lots of words. Her actions prove her worth for the office and I say vote Nate Bello who has proven his worth as a leader.
