Last time I went to the Rec Centre I went to the West Fraser Room, last time I went to the Senior Centre I went in the Slocan room, my kids went to the Nature Centre in West Fraser Timber Park, I watched performances on the Cariboo Pulp and Paper sponsored Friendship Stage in Lebordais Park, I've eaten a picnic lunch at Weldwood Park!
To say Industry doesn't care about Quesnel is a farce! They have given a lot to Quesnel. It is rare to see a event program without a logo from major industry in Quesnel (small business is Quesnel is equally generous).
They are just warning us that currently it is not business as usual in Quesnel, and we should not be putting our necks out for luxuries we can't afford.
I think they have made it abundantly clear the Multi Centre will not be West Fraser Centre, Cariboo Pulp Place, C & C Wood Products Arena, or Tolko Theatre. They CAN NOT AFFORD IT!
If the people who employ the town are saying no it is time to re think a yes vote.
