The referendum is on borrowing 15 million. I believe if sound arguments are put forward that make economic sense the building can be modified and even relocated. Keep in mind it will take time to secure the other 15 million from the other levels of government. If the referendum is defeated our next opportunity will be 3 years from now and of course that won't be a good time either. There might be people who believe that we can duplicate what was accomplished in the 50's and without taking anything away from our community spirit raising 1 million for a catscan and 15 million for a multicentre - it won't happen.
I heard the Mills manager say that 2000 is spent in local business during every home game. Much more than that is spent during a midget or bantum tournament or a ringette tournament. So if this building isn't perfect vote yes to borrow and then work hard to make it better.
