At the All Candidates forum at CNC a question was written and read to Gino DeRose...something like:
"You were overheard saying...if you can't speak the language get out of the country...is that true?"
Can you imagine the moderator actually reading the question? Poor Gino was so flustered by this and of course denied it. Apparently his mother speaks little english so doesn't sound like a realistic thing he would say.
I doubt anyone was impressed and I hope the Chamber has learned from this and will never use the process again. I much prefer to have someone go to the mic and ask questions.
