Hello all:
On Wednesday, November 5th and Friday November 7th, the residents of Area 'B' will be voting for their Director and residents' of Areas A, B, C and I of the Cariboo Regional District will be voting on the following Questions:
Multi-Center Proposal
i) "Are you in favour of the Cariboo Regional District Board adopting Loan Authorization Bylaw 4396 to borrow up to $15,000,000 for the Multi-Centre Project and;
ii) Are you in favour of the Cariboo Regional District Board adopting Bylaw 4395 to increase the North Cariboo Recreation and Parks function taxation limit to a maximum of the greater of $3.2095/$1,000 of assessed value of land and improvements or $4,900,000 to provide for the construction of a new arena, theatre and multipurpose event space? YES or NO" (Voters in CRD Areas 'A', 'B', 'C' and 'I' whose properties are inside the North Cariboo Recreation and Parks Function only)
AND
Quesnel Cemetery Service - Taxation Requisition Increase Request
“Are you in favour of the adoption of the Quesnel Cemetery Contribution Service Establishment Amendment Bylaw No. 4422, 2008, which would allow an increase to the taxation limit to a maximum of the greater of $76,000 or an amount generated by applying an overall rate of $0.0731/$1,000 to the net taxable value of land and improvements?" (Note: if you own residential property, based on 2008 assessment, the rate would increase from $2.85/$100,000 to $5.00/$100,000 of assessed value of residential land and improvements (all residents' of CRD Areas 'A', 'B', 'C' and 'I')
If you reside in Areas A, B, C and I, you can vote at the following location on Wednesday Nov 5th and Friday Nov 7th:

On Saturday, November 15th, CRD Area 'B' residents vote for their Electoral Area Director and residents of CRD Areas 'A', 'B', 'C' and 'I' vote for the 2-Part Referendum Question (Multi-Center Proposal - see above) and the Quesnel Cemetery Service Question (see above)

Elector Registration
There is no need to pre-register to vote as the registration of all electors for voting will take place at the time of voting.
You will be required to make a declaration that you meet the following requirements:
* 18 years of age or older;
* Canadian citizen;
* resident of BC for at least 6 months immediately before voting day
* resident of OR registered owner of real property in the North Cariboo Recreation and Parks service area for at least 30 days
immediately before voting day, and;
* not otherwise disqualified by law from voting.
Resident electors will be required to produce 2 pieces of identification (at least one with a signature). The identification must prove both place of residence and identity.
For City of Quesnel residents, they will be voting on Saturday, November 15th for their Mayor and 6 Councillors, 7 School Trustees for the Board of Education - School District #28 and the 2-Part Multi-Center Referendum Question (see above - Multi-Center Proposal)

If you are not on the voters' list at the above sites, then you'll have to prove your identity and your home address by providing 2 pieces of acceptable ID to the election officials. Information on specific examples can be obtained by contacting Laurie Scott (Chief Election Officer) at Quesnel City Hall, phone 250-992-2111
I apologize in advance wholeheartedly to everyone here but it is necessary, in this case, to ensure everyone has all the information they require and I would rather be accused of providing too much information, rather then not providing enough
