Hello all:
As you know - there is a Municipal Election in the City of Quesnel / Cariboo Regional District for Area 'B' only plus consenting to adoption of CRD Bylaws #4395/4396. Let me now explain the process for this:
1) Nov 5 and 7 - CRD Advance Polling Days
Voters in Area 'B' will be asked to vote for their Director - Electoral Area 'B':
i) Ken Falloon
ii) Roberta Faust
Also, Voters in CRD Areas A, B, C and I will be asked the following two questions:
i) Are you in favour of the Cariboo Regional District Board adopting Loan Authorization Bylaw 4396 to borrow up to $15,000,000 for the Multi-Centre Project and;
ii) Are you in favour of the Cariboo Regional District Board adopting Bylaw 4395 to increase the North Cariboo Recreation and Parks function taxation limit to a maximum of the greater of $3.2095/$1,000 of assessed value of land and improvements or $4,900,000 to provide for the construction of a new arena, theatre and multipurpose event space? YES or NO
2) City of Quesnel voters' on Nov 5th and 8th will be asked to vote for their new Mayor and Council:

i) Nate Bello
ii) Mary Sjostrom
Office of Councillor (6 to be elected)
1) Coralee Oakes
2) Sushil Thapar
3) Ron Paull
4) Peter Couldwell
5) Brent Oxenbury
6) Laurey-Anne Roodenburg
7) Paul Kainth
8) Micheal Cave
9) Gino DeRose
10) Richard Forman
3) On November 15th (General Voting Day), voters in Quesnel will be asked to cast ballots for their new Mayor/Council (see above) plus consent to adoption of CRD Bylaws #4395/4396 (see above). Voters in Area 'B' of the CRD will be asked to cast ballots for the Office of Director - Electoral Area 'B'. Voters in CRD Areas A, B, C, and I will be asked to cast ballots to consent to adoption of CRD Bylaw #4395/4396 (see above)
If the YEAS exceed the NAYS on Bylaws #4395/4396, the CRD Board of Directors may adopt these Bylaws. If the NAYS exceed the YEAS, the CRD Board of Directors' are legally prevented from adopting CRD Bylaws #4395/4396.
I obviously encourage all of the voters' in the City of Quesnel and CRD Areas A, B, C and I to come out and vote, regardless how you feel on the Multi-Centre Proposal as well as voting for a new Mayor/Council - City of Quesnel and for the office of Director - Electoral Area 'B' (Cariboo Regional District - Area B residents' only)
