Charlie Pierce is one of the best softballer to ever come out of norcal.
In the old days when only BIG men could hit homeruns...Charlie could sneak more then his share over the wall, then the next time up he'd bounce a two hopper to the shortstop and JOG to first.
It think???? He was MVP for BAM in one of the early USSSA MAJOR WORLDS CHAMPIONSHIPS...
He might also be....The first player Dan Smith paid to play softball??? If BOMMER wasn't the first.
