As the White House sought to balance campaign rhetoric with governing, officials appeared willing to extend unemployment benefits. With former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan saying he is "pretty sure we've already seen the bottom" of the recession, Obama aides sought to defend the economic stimulus and calm a jittery public. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and National Economic Council Director Larry Summers both sidestepped questions on Obama's intentions about taxes. I can't beleive that people actually thought this guy was going to change the world as we know it. How many promises has he like so many other poloticians broken already? Now ,maybe a possible tax hike in the shute,although he says no. It seems that NO in Washington means yes to the middle class. I personaly can''t wait for this spook to be ousted once and for all. Bush put us in debt no doubt,but Obamas plans are going to surpass Bushs debt x 3 maybe 4. Reform my butt.
