Aruba Posted by Breaker on June 3, 2009, 9:15 pm I will never visit this shit hole country. even if I won a trip for free. This is old news, but do you remember the Natalee Holloway case? She was the teenager from Alabama who was missing for quite some time and now is presumed murdered/dead. Over the weekend, I read a newly released book about the case. What a terrible time her family and friends went through. Regardless of whether the girl was drunk or whatever, that country sounds like a friggin' armpit. Corruption, incompetent police, drugs, crackhouses, etc. Doesn't seem safe to venture from the resorts. I had often heard that about Aruba. That little shit stain of a country ought to be bending over backwards for ANY US tourist and worship the ground we walk on. I will never, ever go there. The US should boycott them indefinitely. Nothing to see as far as beautiful places, Just lots of ocean and beachs. They have casinos,and lot's of cheap Yao. Regardless, I remember the story and at the time thought it was a shame. However, after reading this book, I'm not surprised by the comedy of horrors this family experienced down there---but I am angered. If I had a daughter and this happened to her, or to any of my loved ones, I think I would have to take the law into my own hands, knowing full well what the consequences would be. The guy that murdered this Natalee Holloway (Joran van der Sloot) was a spoiled rotten rich little punk, hiding in Daddy's back pocket. He was absolved from the crimes along with his henchman (Deepak and Satish Kalpoe--two brothers). A huge coverup.
