I bought a home in North Schuylkill School District and was rewarded by having a spot reassessment that increased my taxes by 50%. If you think it doesn't affect you wait until you try to sell your home. Governor Rendell vetoed legislation to stop this practice. Reassessment is supposed to be county wide to keep the taxes fair. Keep this in mind when you vote next week.
