Well, anti-American sentiment can be found globally, especially thanks to the Bush administration.
Regardless, I remember the story and at the time thought it was a shame. However, after reading this book, I'm not surprised by the comedy of horrors this family experienced down there---but I am angered.
If I had a daughter and this happened to her, or to any of my loved ones, I think I would have to take the law into my own hands, knowing full well what the consequences would be.
The guy that murdered this Natalee Holloway (Joran van der Sloot) was a spoiled rotten rich little punk, hiding in Daddy's back pocket. He was absolved from the crimes along with his henchman (Deepak and Satish Kalpoe--two brothers). A huge coverup. Since you can't take a gun through the airport, I'd just go to that island, buy a baseball bat, drive some nails through it, search those punks out and let justice be served.
