Mel offers the Fontana purse you complain, he adds a extra race with full payouts to make up for a lost Fontana race you complain. You weren't at the 1st Vegas race, plan to miss the originally scheduled 2nd race and you still complain about the added 3rd one? I just don't get what you are trying to pull here?

Not trying to pull a thing Mr. "N20XDRcrew!" In fact, you rarely ever hear me complain about anything on this board! And before I forget, let's not get it twisted! When my car is ready to run, and it's in my possession, I'm showing up to a race; be it Vegas, Fontana, Bakersfield, Pheonix, Tucson, Sacremento, Georgia, where the hell ever! This will be the only time ever in the past 11 years my car has been ready to run, and I don't make the race! I dont know how long you've been involved with PSCA, but in the 11 years I've been racing with PSCA, I have only taken issue with two of its moves that I've posted on this board! Besides, what do YOU seek to benefit from this arrangement????? As a crew person, you probably are not paying for expenses like I am, such as the up keep and nitrous and fuel for your car for every race; oh, my bad! You don't have a car! You are a crew person with an opposite opinion. You probably aren't paying for the rest of your crew's entry fees, room and board for each race, fuel to tow your rig back and forward to these races, and not to speak of expenses for any mishaps or breakage at the track! Like that never happens. So I can absolutely see how and why you may have an opposite opinion to mine. It is absolutely fine to have differing opinions, but when the playing field is leveled, or when we compare apples to apples, so to speak, perhaps broader perspectives can be seen!
And by the way, you seem to want to make this thing personally about Mel..."Mel offers the Fontana purse, you complain; Mel does this, you complain; Mel does that, you complain."...Well, it's not personal at all! I have no beef whatsoever with Mel. I know what it's like to be in a position where you have to make tough, and even sometimes unpopular decisions. There's always going to be someone who believes they could have made a better decision. When decisions such as the one we're conversing about are made, I'm sure that Mel confers with others before making a final decision. Perhaps even you were part of the decision making for this one. Who knows? When I make comments about moves that adversely affect me on this board, those comments aren't directed personally to Mel at all. They are, however, directed to an organization that I have supported for 11 years, financially, publicly and otherwise! It would seem to me that an 11 year supporter of an organization in it's 13th year, would at least have the opportunity to provide a little of his input without it being frowned upon, or so heavily opposed! Even if my input isn't valued, at least the PSCA could make it seem like it's somewhat welcomed! Perhaps it's not, seeing that I've not once been contacted in 11 years to hear what my input might be on a subject that would have an effect on me personally, or the class that I run. Not once have I heard, "Hey Terry, we're thinking about doing away with your class, True Street, what are your thoughts?" Or, "Hey Terry, we're thinking about changing the rules for your class to include slicks in 'Extreme Drag Radial,' what do you think?" Or, "Hey Terry, we're looking at adding your class to a Ford Fun race a week before the scheduled Vegas race, in Vegas, and it will be for points; does that sound like something that's doable for you and your crew?" It's not like there's 20, or 30 people to contact in the class.

I totally agree with u. I have never raced at the vegas track because it is way too costly. It would cost me close to $1000 to go to vegas to try to win $600. I qualified at fontana where I raced all 5 races last year. It is an insult to me to offer a double payout ($1200 to win). I am sure Fontana will reopen at some point. How about we just get a "Race for free pass" for the Fontana event??? Mel will never return the money...
