in a lot of ways Barona reminds me of C-Bad. I loved to race @ both, & there are funnies @ both. I agree 100% with supporting the track.
They love to race & with funding would love to make it better. over the years Ive seen lots of improvements & have no doubt that they would dump a TON of money into improvements, but you cant spend what you dont have.

With the last minute closure of Fontana, I drove down to Barona this weekend to check it out. It is a facility with limited recourses. However, I had an absolute blast! The employees were great and very accommodating to the racers. They had several Bracket and Gambler races along with an almost unlimited amount of test and tune runs. IN ADDITION, no sound restrictions.
I had a long conversation with the track Manager. He said if the car count continues to increase they are looking to make upgrades, namely to the return road and shut down area.
Seeing that Barona is currently the last drag strip in So Cal I say support it or we will lose it.

I was also there this weekend, and agree that it is a fun place to run. As it is the only track for Southern California racers, I hope they fix a couple things to make it better. The biggest things they can do to improve the track is re-prep during the break and get rid of all the rocks on the return road. The track always seems to fall off as the day/night progresses because they never re-prep. And if you are towards the tower in the staging lanes, when people are doing their burnouts, your car gets pelted with the little rocks people pick up on the return road.
