If you just said a BBC with a dominator in a backhalf car with a bigger tire wont run 8.70's. Then why would you try with a small block on a small tire with stock suspension? Sounds like you'd be trying to run 9.40's. Build your car and go run Modified Production.

: I am not complaining, Craig, I am just simply
: asking a question that might potentially get
: more cars without upsetting any other rules.
: No one has ever tried running L/S naturally
: aspirated, but I know for a fact that a
: single 750 will not support enough power to
: run 8.70's like you guys do...
:
: I just want to put a larger 4150 carb like
: an HP950. A naturally aspirated engine has
: no chance of making the power to run with
: the nitrous or turbos, even at 2650lbs with
: an HP750.
:
: Look at Hot Street, Craig... There are a ton
: of big block cars that can't even run 8.70's
: with a dominator, let alone a small block
: with less than 415 inches and a single
: 800carb and standard inline valve heads.
:
: And no, I was already told I HAVE to change
: my hood(it is a 6" cowl) and put a 750
: or 800 on it when I come out to race or they
: won't let me race, so I guess I am not
: getting a courtesy one race deal.
