2007 Mean Street Champ
In most of this tread of comments everyone is discussing the wrong issues. Most of us that run one of the index classes know how to slow our cars down to get close to the number. The problem is there are a number of cars that can't run .60 during bad conditions. Some of them may be off 2 or 3 tenths in Vegas and most of you how much it can cost to get a car to run that much quicker. (With the economy being the way it is let's try and help Mel get the car count up not down). If we factor in for example 3 tenths we will probably pick up a few more cars in each class. It sounds like a win win situation for everyone except those cars that can run the number anywhere and prefer not to have bigger car counts (more cars harder to win). We can all slow our cars down another .3, we already do it when we come to Vegas. I don't see the down side.
