Damon,
First off it's good that you listed the entire Limited field for comment, I only hope you didn't get a cramp in your hand listing all 4 of us. The way I see it if it gets you to the track I'll loan you a 4500 to put on top of whatever motor you will be using. I personally think at this point Mel should allow big blocks as well (with restrictions of course) Maybe have them run a #4 Nitrous line and a limited cubic inch rule. I think right now the nitrous cars are at a disadvantage by the carburation limit we have compared to the unrestricted EFI 80mm intercooled turbo rule. The way I see it, The rule changes that have been thrown at us yearly have most certainly taken a class that had multiple cars, to a class that will be extinct if someone doesnt start listening to some of the suggestions and not just throw the new rules out there. The old rules 5 years ago were cool as hell for the class and we sure better not ever see them again, as we lost allot of money changing everything. I'm all for the new rules when they work. However if you look, the rule changes have steadily dropped cars from the class. Why would you build a $100,000.00 car for a $550.00 payout with limited contingency? and when you open the door for the new cars to come in they don't show up anyway and it's still the same 3 guys. Only now they know at any given moment if they don't spend $15,000.00 to $20,000.00 on a DFI Turbo or supercharger laptop in the lanes setup we could get our a$$ handed to us at any given race with us flowing 800cfm and them flowing 1500cfm or so with 160lb injectors? The class has gotten away from the basics and that has killed it in my opinion. Understand before we all start typing that I'm not b###hing just stating facts, and I'll race no matter what the rules are, because that's what I love to do. And yes don't worry I'm sure I will build a motec turbocharged 80mm intercooled 415" Dutweiller tuned at the starting line car to go have fun with in Limited Street because that seems fair to me "Right" Plus on my racing budget I can afford to do it. How about everyone else? It's no fun racing with yourself or even the same 2 or 3 guys. So we need to make some kind of change and maybe it's time for the racers to be heard and listened to.

: I talked to Robert and he wanted me to check
: with you guys to see if you were willing to
: change the rule for the carb size for the
: naturally aspirated combos and allow any
: size 4150 or even just a 950carb. The n/a
: combos will not make enough power to even
: run 9.50's with a 750 or 800..
: Might also get the slower hot street cars
: that stopped racing to change their carbs
: and take the transbrakes off to get more
: cars...
:
: So, Russ, Gary, Tony, Craig and anyone else
: I am missing, do you have a problem with
: this?
: It still might not get the rule changed, but
: he will have more leverage if all you are ok
: with it
:
: thanks
: Damon, possible future n/a L/S racer
