That's a very good point. I am Retired Navy and I have always wondered why they have not adapted a tail hook system to these cars. The wheelie bars are already there, it would take minimal weight to adapt a tail hook underneath the wheelie bars. It could be triggered by sensors or manually. A cable could be easily adapted in front of the sand trap with a dampener system. Just like most Military and some Commercial airports have a field arrest system. These cars are literally going faster than an airplane on landing. It just makes sense to me.
