: Rickey, I have a problem squating in a wide stance. My hips hurt
: me on the way down and it seems as though I have no power coming
: up. Everything I have read and seen suggests that in order to
: have the big squat, you must lift like this. Is that a true
: statement? What suggestions do you have to help correct this
: problem I am having.

Good day..
without seeing you squat or previewing a video of it..i would suggest a few things....
check feet width...they might be too wide-wide is better to the point of diminishing returns which sounds like you have more than hit....
make sure you have stretched enough before lifting...
make sure you have warmed up properly....
bad form may also be a problem.......
when traning abouve 60-75% train with a loose power suit
and last of all ot answer all of your questions buy "XTREME SQUATTING"...THE 200 PAGE MANUAL ON EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR COMPETITIVE SQUATTING..
