A reminder, folks.
Cobb County police are requiring everyone who has monitored alarm systems to register them with the police department in an effort to reduce the number of false alarms.
Ok, ok, it's mostly to make more money from fines from false alarms, but if you DON'T register, there's a fine, too. To give the police some credit though, they really do respond to tons of false alarms each year from people who don't learn how to properly use their systems or set them off due to dumb mistakes. Either way, money making OR due to dummy home owners, the fact is, in order to avoid fines, you have to register.
Here's the link where you can read up on it further and register online. Deadline is 12/31: http://police.cobbcountyga.gov/alarms.htm
