Assaults on the Silver Comet Trail....

Well, we hate to always post the bad stuff, but it's a definite FYI here... Apparently, in the last few months, teens have been assaulting bikers on the Silver Comet Trail in several instances in both Cobb and Paulding Counties. They are blocking the roads on the rural stretches, and then assaulting bikers that ride past them. Details are in the link below, but we just want to make folks aware that you should never bike or walk/job on the trail alone, and stay off the trails at night. If you find yourself in a situation where ahead of you, you see teens/adults "lining up" in a suspicious way, do what you can to turn around. Heck, personally we'd probably pedal faster and try to plow one of them over, but that's just us. Sorry. There is MINIMAL police presence on the trails in most areas, and unfortunately, lots of ghettoized apartment buildings and neighborhoods that are close to trail entrances, so please keep your mind about you, common sense turned on, and your observational skills on full alert when using the trail.
