Yo Eye,
As I had mentioned before, I got skinned on a magazine 25 years ago. As a contributing editor I place my rep (or lack of) on the printed word. I invested heavely in that mag and when it went bust I was heart-broken. Forget the damn dollars, I simply wanted to help represent us pilgrims on the west coast and to inform them that we really do have a brain! This time around, I chatted with Chris for nearly 6 months before I committed and I have not been disappointed. Timing has been a bit off on getting the mag out, but I truly understand the business half of putting out a publication.
Eye, the article you sent from the Chelsea Standard was published on 08/18/05. I received an E from Chris on 09/27 and as he was reading some of my stuff he wrote "the Mag is fine, its just everything else right now". Take this any way you want. I have no reason to strap Chris on for he has not darkened my door. He gave me his back in the inception of this mag and I will cover his until the rest of the story is told.
Again, I look to the keeper of the cash before I look to the one that brought them the cash.
