I imagine you are having just a bit of cultural shock going from Tejas to Idaho?
There are some good guys involved in black powder shooting and Rendezvous in your area. North a few miles in Moscow is the Hog Heaven Muzzleloaders. They ahve a great RDV on Fathers Day weekend. In Coeur d'Alene is the CdA Muzzleloaders and their RDV is on the weekend following 4th of July. In Colfax, WA is the Colfax ML Club, they have their RDV the weekend following the Hog Heaven group. In Lewiston, there is also a group but my memory fails me as to their name. I think they RDV on Memorial Day weekend.
You will want to plan to attend the Muzzleloading Gun Show in Coeur d'Alene in February. You can get information on all the events, big and small, coming up there. I think the show is in its 7th or 8 year, and each year it gets a little bit bigger and a little bit better. It is well worth going to. Plus what Lone Eagle provides on this site, you're in business.
