"Rondy training" is almost a thing of the past. You have brought up some valid thoughts and believe it or not there really is a place where you can learn - if yur in the area. In Sweet Home, Oregon, a new club has started up with the goal of teaching those that want to learn how to "live the history". My husband (Ted "Grey Wolf" Hemby) and I are teaching how to use a black powder rifle; how to make your own clothes out of cloth or leather; make your own moccasins, leather bags for various uses, sheaths for hawk and knife, and what the history is behind all this and much more. There will also be classes on hunting, fishing and trapping the "old fashioned way. We are helping those that want a "personna", as well as how to do "first person" . Our motto is "Learn History by Living It". We hope to do school programs as well as Rondys. If anyone wants any more info., give me a shout.
