I would love to go to a rendezvous and sit in on a session that would teach me______ (fill in the blank). I realize that some of the equipment is way too expensive to allow a newby to handle. Yet, some of the companies that sell this stuff should conduct classes that will allow me to see, touch, smell, etc. Once you've tapped into the inner self then you will have a convert.
Also, all of you "old" 'skinners---please be gentle with your judgement of my impression. I may not be able to tell you the exact amount of stitches per inch that my shirt should have. Or I may not be able to pinpoint the exact year of my impression, just be glad that I'm there to participate. What the sport needs to do is create an atmosphere of education.
