Just had a look through the schedule and they seem to be a few discrepancies...Wondered if they could be clarified?
In no particular order...
1. Novice Rider- It states in the race schedule...first novice rider past the post (jockey never to have won a race)
It then goes on to say A special prize will be awarded at the third meeting at Godstone to the best potential novice jockey. To be eligible for this prize a rider must not have won 3 races prior to 1st December 2008.The PRA line on novice Jockeys is not more than 3 wins prior to 01.01.09
2. JMB - Do hunting/PC ponies need a valid JMB?
3. Points (Godstone Champs)- What is the points system (i.e. 10 for a win. 5 for second) and will it be promulgated prior to the start of the season?
4. Qualification SE final - The first 2 past the post will qualify...Do other ponies qualify naturally if they are third in a race that the first 2 have already qualified? If so is there a min placing they have to acquire? i.e. in a race where the first 10 have already qualified would the 11th place pony qualify for the final?
I am not trying to be awkward but I feel that a if the rules are not tied down then people will interpret them differently and lead to unnecessary conflict.
